Cover Buildings in winter |
For those of you who don't know Accu-Steel Cover Buildings, we are based in West Central Iowa on a 6th generation family farm. We are proud to live here and pleased to have such a great customer base. In case you don't live in this part of the world, you may not appreciate the amount of snow we've had this winter. According to the weather reports, we are living through the snowiest winter on record. As a manufacturer of buildings we are pleased to report that none of our buildings have had any issues managing the snow and wind loads that Mother Nature has thrown at us. this year. When you are purchasing a cover building, you will want to make sure you do a considerable amount of homework on the actual engineering behind the structure. While not every winter is going to give you a snow pile like the one below, you will get significant loads during heavy, wet snows. In addition to the snow loading that is appropriate to your area, you will want to manage the local wind load conditions. Accu-Steel has cover buildings across the country and every one of our buildings is stamped with a local engineer to ensure it meets IBC 2009 building codes for local snow, wind and seismic conditions. Here is a shot of the snow pile and our expert snow removal team.

I have seen so many hoop buildings in my area come down, I wish I knew about you before I bought from the farm catalogue.
